Hours per week: Variable. RSL Centre Quality Assurers are self-employed contractors, and successful applicants will enter into a provision of service agreement with RSL Awards Ltd.
Rate of pay: Fee based per assignment

Job Summary / Purpose
Centre Quality Assurer’s are experts in RSL quality assurance. The main responsibilities of the role are to:
- Support centres with annual centre visits
- Confirm centres have adequate quality assurance processes
- Confirm centres’ quality assurance processes are effective and in line with national standards
- Support aspiring RSL centres with centre approval
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Attend annual training & CPD sessions
- Conduct annual centre visits for approved centres, ensuring centres are compliant with RSL quality assurance processes
- Report back to RSL and centres following centre visit activity as per service-level agreements
- Conduct approval visits, ensuring new centres are compliant with approval requirements and supporting centres to transition to RSL qualifications
- Respond to feedback from VQ Centre Monitoring and Compliance Manager/ Head of Quality (VQ) and update reports accordingly
- Produce clear written reports for centres and RSL
- Develop and monitor clear action plans
Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years assessment and internal verification experience of centre-based vocational qualifications
- Minimum of one year’s teaching experience in a relevant subject and level.
- A degree or Level 6 qualification in a relevant subject area e.g. BA Hons (Drama)
- A PGCE or other teaching qualification (minimum Level 5)
- Excellent communication, written, verbal, IT and interpersonal skills
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently to deadlines
Desirable
- Experience with delivery, assessment and quality assurance of RSL qualifications
- EQA qualification
