Specifically, this entails Face-to-face / Live Stream exams in the UK / Ireland and Recorded Digital exams worldwide to ensure these are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

UK Graded Music Examinations (GMEs):

  • To take direct responsibility for allocated GME centres and oversee others allocated to Exams Officers
  • To act as the lead for the UK GME sub-team, acting as a mentor to other colleagues as required
  • To ensure that there are sufficient sessions to satisfy the demand for UK face-to-face (f2f) and live stream exams (LSE) and that dates are booked, exams are scheduled and information is issued to customers
  • To deal with customer enquiries (notably scheduling changes) and liaise with centre representatives as appropriate
  • To liaise with the Operations Resources Manager regarding the allocation of examiners to sessions
  • To ensure that results and certificates are issued according to published timescales

Recorded Digital Examinations (RDEs):

  • To assign examiners, deal with customer enquiries, and issue certificates (delegating tasks to Exams Officers as appropriate)

Career Qualifications:

  • To assign assessors, deal with customer enquiries, and issue certificates (delegating tasks to Exams Officers as appropriate)

Group assessments:

  • To receive and process entries, assign assessors, deal with customer enquiries, and issue certificates (delegating tasks to Exams Officers as appropriate)

General operations:

  • To support other colleagues (particularly Exams Officers) in their work as time and priorities allow, including maintaining awareness of other workstreams (particularly music theory and production exams)

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • To maintain confidentiality at all times and to comply with the Company policy on handling confidential/ sensitive data, thus ensuring security in the management and use of information

  • To contribute to close working relationships with all personnel and to help build an open and honest culture that facilitates learning, creativity and excellence

  • To be courteous and professional to customers and stakeholders of RSL treating them with care and consideration at all times

  • To comply with the policies and procedures of the Company at all times

  • To undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post

  • To participate fully in the Company’s performance management process and undertake Continuing Professional Development as required

  • To achieve and demonstrate agreed standards of personal and professional development within agreed timescales.

  • To ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Person Specification

  • Educated to degree or equivalent level (or comparable experience)
  • An organised and efficient administrator with strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • IT literacy and confidence
  • Ability to foster supportive and constructive relationships with colleagues and customers
  • A great team player, but also able to take the lead and work independently
