Piano, Music Theory.
To date Tom Horton has enjoyed a very varied musical career. At only 35 years of age he has gained a wealth of experience in all areas of the music industry. Tom is well known around the UK in the organ & keyboard world but his work expands into many other musical areas too. Tom has performed concerts all over the country and his musical talents have taken him to USA on several occasions. A busy teaching schedule sees him tutoring a large number of students weekly at his home studio and at a private Norfolk boarding school. As one of a handful of organists in the UK who plays concerts on the remaining cinema organs (Wurlitzer etc) he is a past winner of the UK Young Theatre Organist of Year Award. In addition to being a part of the team at Allens Music Centre, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk (sole Lowrey UK dealer) has also composed & arranged exam music for the Royal Schools of Music, played for weddings, receptions, ballroom dancing, theatre shows, recorded over six CD albums....the list is almost endless! Throughout the year Tom also finds time to be Music Director for pantomime theatre shows (inc Leiston Film Theatre), silent film accompaniment and spend time with his family! He is also a regular season organist playing the Wurlitzer organ at Cotton Mechnical Music Musuem (Cotton, Nr Stowmarket, Suffolk) and is organist at the Southwold Electric Picture Palace. In addition he offers free keyboard hints & tips videos via his Youtube channel and composes his own piano music books.
