Hey! My name is Tom and I'm a professional touring and recording musician with almost two decades of experience. I have honed the skills and knowledge of my instrument through many years on the UK/EU touring circuit; performing on some of the biggest stages in the world and alongside some of the biggest names in the business. I spent 4 years studying Music Performance at one of Europe's finest schools of modern music, learning from some of the greatest musicians and educators in the world. I have a thirst for knowledge and for sharing that knowledge with others. My lessons are solely based around the student and what they would like to achieve from their instrument. At the beginning of each session, we'll set a number of goals, spanning the different areas of drumming and musicianship, that we would like to achieve and we will then set about these goals in a calm, structured and stress-free manner. I am able to teach each student everything from technique, improvisation and coordination to developing hand speed, tips on how to perform within a band setting and how best to survive as a working musician in today's industry. If you're interested in learning from me, please feel free to get in touch. All the best, Tom
I have studied under exceptional musicians with Tom as well as having observed him for lessons he has taught. He is such a positive and influential teacher, providing additional support and motivation wherever it is needed. On a personal level, Tom is an incredible player and has a true and deep understanding of every aspect of his discipline. Many aspects of my practice and teaching methods have been inspired through him; he is an extremely professional and diligent teacher and musician.
I studied under the guidance of Tom for a little over 3 months and in that time I feel I have come along massively, both as a musician and as an individual. Were it not for my decision to move away from London, I would have certainly carried on my lessons with him. The way in which he teaches is both enjoyable and very informative. You can really understand and appreciate the passion he has for both his instrument and for teaching; both of which are very inspiring.
