Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Music Theory, Vocals.
Steve Bartington here - pleased to meet you! I first picked up a guitar back in 1989(!) and have never looked back. I've been gigging since 1999, and I now have over a thousand gigs to my name. (And I must say that, although I've studied music formally, you can't beat playing in a hands-on gig situation for learning an instrument.) The guitar is my first instrument, although since I started out, I've added bass, vocals and even occasionally drums to my rock'n'roll CV - nothing wrong with branching out, right? So, if your in the Colchester, Essex area, and you want to rock'n'roll - you know the number to call, and I'm sure we'll get on great.
Steve successfully taught my daughter to play guitar whilst at school. My daughter has done especially well with Steve, she is quite shy and he gave her the confidence to play in front of the school and at a Christmas concert. He is very patient and his lessons are fun, my daughter enjoys playing a verity of different tunes, including some modern pop songs. Although she has left primary school she will continue to take lessons with Steve.

Not many right-handed guitar players can teach a left-handed drummer. And yet one year after Steve was asked to do just that, I've got gigs under my belt AND offers of paid work coming in. How he thinks on his feet like he does I do not know, but what I do know is that I'm lucky to have been taught by such an inspired and musically-minded person. Call Steve, and you will literally be playing in no time.

In my opinion,Steve is a very good tutor. He is very professional but at the same time makes the lessons fun.He is always on time and gives good value for money. He has a relaxed attitude and doesn't try to push you too hard.If you ask him about a song he is always able to transcribe it for you. As a summary,Steve is a guitar tutor I would recommend.
Steve Bartington has been teaching my son the guitar for over 4 years now. My son thoroughly enjoys his lessons and is progressing well through the ABRSM grades. Steve is reliable, trustworthy and dedicated to his students. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
