Mark Gustavina

Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass.

Biography

I began my musical journey in 1976 at the age of 13. After my parents refused to buy me an Electric guitar after showing absolutely no musical ability at all, a trait common in our family, I convinced them to let me purchase one, with an Amplifier, from a catalogue, on hire purchase, which would see me going for 38 weeks without any pocket money! Unbelievably, I took to the instrument very fast, learning by ear from the few vinyl Albums I'd purchased to date. I soon started teaching what I'd learned to some of my school friends, one of which ending up in a very famous band and making his career in music. I formed my first band at 15, and have been playing in bands ever since, with varying degrees of 'success'. I have recorded albums and played all over the globe, and still do. I started teaching professionally 8 years ago after redundancy from a Guitar shop, where I'd worked full time for 16 years. Apart from playing Guitar and Bass, I have experience in Studio recording and Live Sound Reinforcement, plus some knowledge of the Music Industry.
