Graham Fielden

Electric Guitar, Drums.

I have been drumming since the age of 7. I love drums. I had lessons from the age of 13 using Buddy Rich's Snare Drum Rudiments,it took me two weeks doing paper rounds to afford one half hour lesson! Oh how I wish the Rock School system was around then. I now gig in a rock /pop band. See I have had the pleasure of playing in clubs and pubs all over the U.K. I have played U.S. bases in Germany, Holland and Turkey, gigged in Spain, Malta, Denmark, Australia, The Shetland Isles and Dubai, jammed on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. I have backed many artists from Wayne Fontana to Lena Zavaroni. I have worked summer seasons in Newquay, Cleveleys and Cleethorpes. I was the resident drummer at The Duke of Wellington in Swinton,Manchester, which involved a quick look at the artists music and straight on stage, no rehearsal. I was signed to RCA records and had hit records in Denmark, Holland and South Africa with a band called Shabby Tiger, which involved working with Billy Ocean, and producer Ben Findon. I have recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studios for E.M.I. also recorded live sessions for the BBC and various TV "pop"shows in the UK and abroad. In 2015 worked in Pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk with Anne Hegerty at Radcliffe Civic Suite, Heywood Civic Centre and Ellesmere Port. My band were in Kay Mellor's "Girlfriends" on ITV in January 2018. I now teach at Rimmers Music in Bury,I also teach at my home studio in Leyland and do home visits. A very varied career, I think you would agree! Involving all styles of music. If you would like to benefit from my years if experience give me a call. Young or old, like most of my students you will probably enjoy the learning process. 07872665936

  • Graham is a great drum teacher, my son had changed instrument several times and had taken basic drum lessons at school. However with Grahams lessons my son has become more dedicated and learnt so much more. He attends half an hour weekly sessions which are well prepared and organised.
Graham is very considerate and generous with his time, never
once have we felt rushed or limited to the time. He is very friendly and personable and always explains the lesson and practice requirements fully. He incorporates the whole family to support my son choosing the same music his brother is learning on the guitar so they can practice at home together. Graham makes the lessons fun and engaging and keeps my son positive when the frustration hits.
Graham is a very dedicated music teacher.
    Kind Regards

  • My son Harry has been having weekly lessons by Graham for a few months now and he has progressed way beyond what I expected.
Harry enjoys the lessons so much and he can't wait to see Graham each week because he is fun and easy going but really professional too, also very committed and I think this is why Harry has progressed so much, he loves going! Cheers Graham

  • My 7 year old son Daniel has been taught by Graham for some time now. Graham shows great skill and patience in maintaining Daniels interest, and he has already made impressive progress given he started from scratch. He is now on track towards his first exam and we look forward to Graham’s continued support.

To quote Daniel ; “He’s not good.. he’s amazing!”

  • Graham teaches my Grandson and from our first meeting and observing his manner with the people he teaches, and my Grandson, I would regard him as a competent, polite and patient tutor and would recommend hin to others wishing to learn. P.W.C.
