Estie

Piano, Vocals.

Biography

I have trained students from beginners through to performance professionals, building their confidence and all-round skills. My training ethos involves practical training combined with relevant integrated aural and theory skills. I also keep students informed about industry developments and help them to develop their repertoire, portfolio of skills and employment prospects with a good, vocational training. I am able to deliver one-to-one and group classes. I have also worked in music production (Writing and producing radio ads) and in music marketing. I have also had some experience of DJing for a few stations so as well as a broad knowledge of music, I can also help people with my technical skills. I do sometimes create specific exercises to help students as part of their classes. I have recently trained students who have achieved exam and performance successes. I create lesson packs for each class which are specially made for each student to suit their needs. I also help students to feel included in the music community by informing students of industry events, offers and performance opportunities when they become available. Whatever your needs are, you can have a chat with me and I usually offer a diagnostic class so that you can try my training and see how this might work for you. I also then make recommendations as to your level and offer lesson packages to fit around your schedule and budget.

  • Estie was instrumental in helping me to pass my Grade 8 Vocal exam, and I highly recommend her as a teacher. Estie used a professional, friendly and creative approach to teaching. She generously always went the extra mile to ensure the full syllabus was being covered and provided me with constructive feedback throughout the lessons. She's a fantastic tutor! • Estie is a very enthusiastic, generous, caring and most encouraging singing teacher! She takes great care to prepare each lesson tailored to her student's needs. She is very knowledgeable of vocal technique and style and truly passionate about it which sets her apart from other teachers. After a number of very exciting lessons I finally gained the technique and confidence I needed and set off to do my show in Edinburgh which was extremely well received. Thank you!
