We have been delighted to work with David, who has brought to our department his wealth of West End experience. Musically articulate, sensitive, generous and insightful, David has inspired and encouraged our professionals in training, and has been a great source of support and encouragement to our flagship MA Course in its early years.
It is my opinion that David will be an asset to any department requiring the highest standards of musicianship and professionalism”

  • “I have known David Laugharne for six years. All that time he has been part of my musical team working on a long-standing musical television series called Noson Lawen, for Channel 4 Wales.
In his role as Assistant Musical Director I have been impressed with not only his knowledge of music genres and their application but his ability to work with, and bring the best out of performers of all ages and experience. David has the ability to make performers feel relaxed at rehearsals and then consequently to perform well during recordings with the benefit of his instructions, which are delivered in a coherent and encouraging manner...He is equally at home in a group context as in an individual one and his authoritative yet patient manner brings out the best in people”
