Level 3 and 4 Holistic Wellbeing qualifications  aim to equip learners with an understanding of what wellbeing is, how the body responds to it and how learners can employ techniques to enhance and improve their own wellbeing. Units cover topics such as Holistic Wellbeing Principles, Science Behind Thought, the Human Body and Mindfulness.

Holistic Wellbeing Principles is the foundation from which every learner can build, to ensure knowledge, understanding and desire to grow and develop, to enhance their own well-being and experience of life.

Planning a Career in Creative Digital Media

This unit aims to promote the learner’s understanding of the processes involved in effective career planning in the creative digital media sector.

Working in the Music Industry

This unit will enable learners to develop the skills and strategies for generating work and income within the UK music industry. Learners will analyse and evaluate the different requirements and methods for generating work and income as a self-employed supplier as well as a creative enterprise.

Music Publishing

This unit aims to develop learners’ understanding of the publishing process and its use and application within the UK music industry.

Starting a Business in the Arts

The aim of this unit is to introduce learners to the fundamentals of business planning, to prepare them for either starting or running their own businesses in the creative industries.

Copyright and Music

The unit will develop learners’ understanding of copyright law, its application and its importance to the practitioner.

Creating and Publishing Digital Content

This unit aims to build on previous learning to develop learners’ critical understanding of the concepts, principles, tools and processes involved in creating and publishing effective digital content.

Digital Recording and Production

This unit has aims to develop learners’ skills in effectively planning the recording process and recording instruments and voices, and to develop skills to edit audio samples for future use.

Creating and Publishing Digital Content

At Levels 4 and 5 the Creative Industries specification offers a comprehensive programme of skill and knowledge development applicable to performers and creatives across the creative space.

Through a process of portfolio creation whilst developing an understanding of income streams, self-care, and career development, learners complete industry relevant projects.

Across both specifications unit choice and flexibility of assessment allow cross-arts collaboration to flourish and a breadth of understanding to be developed amongst learners with diverse skillsets and interests.

Unit Selection

The units in level 4 and 5 are mandatory but are a step by step path taking the learner from a regular skilled performer to becoming well rounded creative industries professional.

This unit aims to develop an understanding of the fundamental concepts and methodologies that underpin skills development in the context of the learner’s principal discipline.

Self-Analysis

This unit aims to establish a benchmark for learners and identify areas that can be built upon in their development as a creative professional.

Contextual Analysis

This unit aims to develop a learner’s skills in interpreting and responding to influences on their own work.

Industry Project

This unit focuses on the creation of a programme of work to demonstrate a range of skills and technical knowledge that have been developed during the study of this qualification.

Creative Industries Income Streams

This unit aims to enable learners to recognise and reproduce various income streams in the current creative industry environment and to appraise the commercial opportunities presented by various income streams in relation to an individual area of the creative industries.

Working to a brief

This unit aims to enable learners to develop an authoritative and credible practice, suitable for a variety of different scenarios within the creative industries, and to able to explain and apply the conventions and vocabulary of their craft in relation to future scenarios working for or with other creative practitioners.

Skills Development

This unit aims to develop an understanding of the fundamental concepts and methodologies that underpin skills development in the context of the learner’s principal discipline.
