As usual, the material is all great. I use these books to teach from and my students sit the Rockschool exams. My only complaint is that in my edition of grade 4 drums, one of the technical exercises had a sticking instruction printed on it that was totally different to that printed in one of my student's books. I emailed Rockschool and they directed me to their website to see the list of mistakes that had been reported in their books. Because I had bought the book as soon as it was released, my book had a couple misprints. The book that my student had bought was a later edition and it had been corrected. Apart from that, its all great.

The best way to learn rock and pop on drums. This grade begins to introduce rudiments and other essential techniques, a step up from grade 2 (the previous grade I had taken) which was more about making you comfortable around the drum kit and build up a rapport with the instrument. For theory-phobes like myself, these books are presented in a clear and concise way which have actually helped me with sight reading in music other than drum scores. The pieces themselves are surprisingly good; enjoyable and diverse.

As I have decided to do my grade 4 now, I have decided to carry on with Rockschool, there is nothing wrong with trinity but I think Rockschool is a great method for general drumming needs.
