MatchMySound’s state-of-the-art technology provides students with immediate automated detailed feedback on pitch, rhythm and tempo from their assigned pieces, and the interactive sheet music tool enables you to slow down, loop and listen back to specific sections of their performance pieces.
Manage your portfolio of students and keep on top of your teaching diary. Through the RSL Learning Platform you will be able to set homework tasks, monitor their progress outside of contact time and review your student’s completed assignments.
Alongside the student management portal, the Learning Platform benefits from RealTime Audio – an integrated music-specific, ultra-low latency videocall function* – allowing you to seamlessly deliver online teaching all from within the platform. Students can also record videos of their performance directly into the platform, allowing you to review and feedback with ease.
The Learning Platform gives users complete access to a huge library of RSL Awards’ grade book materials. Performance pieces and their accompanying backing tracks, technical exercises, sight reading / improvisation, and supporting tests currently available include Debut – Grade 8 in almost all Rockschool and RSL Classical instruments.
Teachers can access the full capabilities and graded music materials available with the RSL Learning Platform by having a live profile on our Teacher Registry. Signing up to our Teacher Registry is simple, and, best of all, free! You will then be able to access the platform across any internet-connected device thanks to its cloud-based technology.
MatchMySound’s state-of-the-art technology provides students with immediate automated feedback on assigned pieces and practice sessions. They will be given a score out of 100, measured against pitch, rhythm, and tempo, so they can see instant success of their performances and highlight areas of improvement. The video record function also enables you to record short guidance videos on specific playing techniques.
The Learning Platform provides an enriched teaching and learning experience, giving you the ability to slow down and loop specific sections of performance pieces. You will also be able to listen back to recordings of your students playing along with pieces so you can evaluate their performances and measure the efficacy of their practice.
The Learning Platform is free to access for teachers who have a free profile on the RSL Teacher Registry. For members of the RSL Awards Teacher Registry, their RSL account details will enable them to access the RSL Learning Platform for free and have access to all the published repertoire. Free access continues for 12 months from the time of first signing into The RSL Learning Platform, and will continue indefinitely as long as the teacher continues to have one or more subscribing students. Access is removed one year after that date if no student subscription is linked to the account.
Students can trial the Learning Platform free for 30 days before subscribing for £4.99 per month to continue access, or, if paid annually, just £3.99 per month! (Please note that the free 30 day period does not apply to subscriptions as the subscription is charged from the time of subscribing.)
Your students create their subscription using a parent User Account on rslawards.com and connect with you via your Teacher Registry profile. For more information, download the Key Information Guide from this page.
