RSL Awards has been named Awarding Organisation of the Year at the Federation of Awarding Bodies’ “Qualifications & Assessment Excellence Awards 2025”.
This is the tenth anniversary year of the Awards which celebrate the organisations shaping the future of qualifications and assessment across the UK. The ceremony introduced a refreshed look and sixteen updated categories, marking a milestone year for the sector.
The announcement was made during the opening evening of the #FAB2025 Conference at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Milton Keynes. RSL Awards was selected for its innovation, its commitment to learners and its ongoing leadership in creative and performing arts education. Judging is carried out by an expert external panel, including former skills minister the Rt Hon Anne Milton, which gives the result special significance.
CEO Tim Bennett-Hart reflected on the achievement:
“It is an honour to accept this award on behalf of everyone at RSL Awards. Our entire team works tirelessly to champion creative education and support learners across the world, and this recognition reflects their passion and commitment. I am so proud of what we have achieved together and grateful to see our work celebrated in this way.”
Dr Fern Chantele-Carter, Global Director of Awarding and Responsible and Accountable Officer, added:
“I am incredibly proud to see RSL Awards recognised in this way. Our mission has always been to empower learners and give teachers the tools they need to inspire the next generation. This award reflects the dedication of our teams across the organisation and the belief our centres and learners place in us every day. It is a privilege to be part of that journey.”
A standout moment of the evening came from the young RSL Awards learners from the Rhythm Room Music School who performed live at the ceremony. Their music brought the spirit of creative education into the room and offered a powerful reminder of why opportunities for young performers matter, showcasing the next generation of creatives and the value of giving them a platform to shine.
This award is more than a recognition of operational excellence. It is a celebration of the educators, examiners, partners and learners who shape the creative community that RSL Awards proudly serves. The achievement belongs to every person who contributes to that mission and moves it forward.
The night also celebrated outstanding work from across the sector, and we send our congratulations to all nominees and winners who continue to raise the standard of qualifications and assessment across the UK.
