As 2024 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on a transformative year for RSL Awards and share some of the exciting milestones that have defined our journey, while looking ahead to 2025.
One of the standout achievements this year was our continued collaboration with People’s Music Publishing House in China. This partnership has further expanded access to world-class music education resources across one of the most dynamic and culturally rich regions in the world. It’s partnerships like these that help us fulfil our mission of inspiring creativity and innovation globally.
In the UK, we once again had the privilege of recording our new Guitar, Bass and Drums syllabuses at the iconic Abbey Road Studios. This monumental effort brought together leading educators and performers to create materials that are both inspiring and accessible for learners of all levels. Abbey Road remains a fitting location to capture the next evolution of our syllabus — a symbol of artistic excellence and creativity.
Internationally, we made significant strides in Malaysia and India, strengthening our presence in these vibrant markets. By building new partnerships and engaging with local educators, we are proud to support a growing community of students and teachers in these regions, where the appetite for creative education continues to surge.
RSL Awards also maintained its leadership in the conversation on emerging trends, hosting and participating in key industry discussions around AI in creative arts education. The integration of technology in arts education presents incredible opportunities, and we are committed to ensuring these advancements empower learners and educators alike.
This year, we were also proud to work closely with the GMIA (Gospel Music Industry Association), championing the importance of gospel music as a vital cultural movement and creating pathways for its recognition in formal education settings. This collaboration underscores our belief in celebrating all genres and styles, ensuring inclusivity in the creative arts.
Finally, we were honoured to collaborate with the British Army Engagement Ensemble, showcasing how music bridges diverse communities and creates meaningful connections.
As we move into 2025, I want to extend heartfelt thanks to our team, partners, and the educators and learners who inspire us every day. Together, we’ve built a strong foundation for the future, and I’m excited for the next chapter in our journey.
Here’s to another year of creativity and collaboration!
