Competition: Feature on the new Guitar, Bass & Drums syllabuses!

Coming this September: the all-new Rockschool Guitar, Bass, and Drums!

 

Featuring new originals, refreshed hit tunes, and upgraded technology, this will be our biggest release yet, celebrating the history of Rockschool.

Play your part in creating Rockschool history…

We want you to put your skills on record. Enter our competition to stand the chance of featuring on our new Guitar, Bass, and Drums syllabuses during our recording sessions at the Marshall Studio this April!

Summon your inner rockstar and sample life as a session musician. Your recording could be the soundtrack for tens of thousands of aspiring musicians for years to come. So whether you’re at the beginning of your Rockschool journey or you’ve been using Rockschool for years, we want to hear from you.

The syllabuses will include fresh new Hit Tunes as well as brand new Rockschool Originals, giving you a glut of new performance pieces to shred away to. As part of this competition, you’ll get a sneak preview of one of these new bespoke Rockschool Originals at Debut level, ‘Swift Exile’!

Not only will you get to win this awesome session experience, but you will get to meet the Rockschool team and be given an extensive tour of the fabled Marshall factory!

Important Date!

The recording session will take place at the Marshall Studio on the 12th April 2024. Make sure you’re free!

How to Enter…

Simply follow the steps found below to enter yourself or your students into the competition (please also read the competition T&Cs!):

Step 1

Fill out the competition entry form below to receive your sheet music and accompanying music!

Step 2

Record your video and send it to marketing@rslawards.com before the 15th March with the subject “GBD2024 Competition Submission“. (You will also receive recording guidance and extra submission info as part of step 1)

Step 3

Share your performances on your social media profiles! Tag @rslawards in your post to ensure visibility. Optionally, use the hashtag #RockschoolStar

Winners will be notified directly using the details received in Step 1 the week commencing 18th March 2024.

  • Learning Platform Virtual Classroom

    Competition Duration:

    • The competition begins on Monday, 19th of February and ends on Friday, 15th of March 2024.
    • Winners will be contacted directly via email on Monday 25th of March 2024, and announced via the RSL Facebook, Instagram, and Newsletter on Wednesday, 27th March 2024.

    Entry Requirements:

    • Only one entry per artist is allowed.
    • Entries must be submitted according to the guidelines outlined in the “Entry Guidelines document” received after completing Step 1.
    • This promotion is not sponsored by any third-party.

    Prize Details:

    • The prize for the competition is a recording session experience at the Marshall Studio on 12th of April 2024 and factory tour. This date cannot be moved, all winners will need to be available on this date. (Winners will need to make their own travel arrangements)
    • Winner’s recordings could also have the chance of featuring on the upcoming Rockschool Guitar, Bass, and Drums syllabuses.
    • Please note that while winners will have the opportunity to record Swift Exile at the Marshall Studio, the final recording from the session might not be included in the final syllabus release.

    Competition Closing Date:

    • RSL reserves the right to extend or shorten the competition closing date at their sole discretion.

    Winner Selection and Notification:

    • Winners will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by RSL.
    • The winners will be contacted via email from RSL and will have 48 hours to accept their prize. If a winner has not responded within 48 hours after being contacted, that winner will forfeit their prize.
    • Winners will need to make their own travel arrangements to the Marshall Studio. RSL Awards can provide a contribution to the winners’ travel costs (up to £100 per winner at the discretion of RSL)

    Prize Acceptance:

    • There is no cash alternative to the prize.
    • By entering this competition, entrants accept these terms and conditions.

Each complete digital book purchased includes:

  • 5 audio downloads
  • 3 sheet music downloadsThis means if you misplace your content, or if your download times-out, you’ll still have plenty of attempts to download your content.
