With proven success in breathing life back into departments and increasing uptake of Creative Arts subject areas, RSL’s Vocational Qualifications in music, performing arts and media are so well-suited to a range of learners in a variety of different settings.
We are often told by teachers of creative subjects that the more traditional qualifications are very focused on theory, writing and research. Though these are, of course, important parts of learning any subject, the building of practical and creative skills that are so integral to the Creative Arts often wrongly take a back-seat.

Why VQ?
Flexible Delivery
Practical, industry relevant and flexible. The flexibility of delivery is designed to allow you to build the perfect qualification for you and your learners, whilst retaining structure through selected core and optional units – many of which can be taught remotely if necessary.
Practical Skills
Assessment is based around practical and/or technical skills, and knowledge applicable to roles in the relevant qualification’s industry. Generally, there are no set works or repertoire restrictions allowing your learners to study what they are actually interested in, generating greater engagement.
Dedicated Support
Each delivery centre is allocated a dedicated External Quality Assurer (EQA) – they will support the centre throughout delivery, approving assessment & IV plans, assignment briefs, and externally verifying samples of learner evidence prior to certification of the qualification.
UCAS Points
RSL Awards’ Vocational Qualifications aid progression into Higher Education. We have a huge range of qualifications at Level 3 that carry UCAS Points. Click the button below to see the allocation of UCAS Points per qualification size and suite.
