Project Qualifications: A New Creative Pathway
RSL’s new Project Qualifications give learners the chance to explore subjects they’re passionate about while building valuable research and study skills. Designed with a creative focus, these qualifications encourage independent thinking, ownership of learning, and progression opportunities, all supported by a specialist awarding organisation. RSL’s Project Qualifications will be available for first teaching in September 2025*

Foundation Project Qualification (Level 1)
An accessible introduction to project-based learning, encouraging creativity and structured study skills for younger learners or those new to independent projects.
Higher Project Qualification (Level 2)
A stepping stone into independent learning. The HPQ builds confidence in research and presentation skills, giving learners a structured pathway towards Level 3 study.
Extended Project Qualification (Level 3)
A highly regarded qualification that strengthens portfolios, develops independent learning, and carries UCAS points. Learners design and deliver a project around a subject they love, ideal preparation for higher education or creative careers

Key Dates
Centre Approval
In order to deliver RSL Vocational Qualifications, a centre must be approved by RSL
The RSL Centre Approval process ensures that centres have sufficient processes and procedures in place to ensure the rigour of the qualifications is not compromised.
Any Centre wishing to be approved by RSL must complete a Centre Approval Application Form and submit this to RSL for consideration, along with all required supporting documentation.
Full centre approval deadline for 25/26 delivery is 23rd October 2025!
