RSL has been an independently regulated awarding organisation in the United Kingdom since 2002. RSL is regulated by all four United Kingdom countries (England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland)

RSL’s Performance Arts Awards group graded exams and Rockschool Graded Music Exams carry UCAS points at 6, 7 & 8.

RSL’s regulated qualifications are listed on the National Register of Approved Qualifications, RSL’s organisation number is RN5192 and you can search our qualifications by clicking on the tab marked ‘search qualifications’.

RSL is unique amongst regulated music awarding organisations in the UK in having regulation in Scotland for its grade exams.

Within the Republic of Ireland QQI and NARIC you can obtain a Comparability Statement to highlight the value of Rockschool Graded Music Exams within the Irish National Qualifications Framework. RSL’s regulated qualifications are recognised within the EU as valid in the Bologna Process and are now part of the European Qualifications Framework. From April 2012, all RSL certificates will have the appropriate EQF level identified on them.
